Community Brew in support of Jackson Creek Trail

Bobcaygeon Brewing Company launches their second Community Brew in support of Otonabee Conservation

Dan Longfield from McThirsty’s, Richard Wood from Bobcaygeon Brewing Company and Janette Loveys Smith from Otonabee Conservation pour a pint of the newest Community Brew in support of the Jackson Creek Trail.

Bobcaygeon Brewing Company and McThirsty’s Pint are proud to announce the launch the newest edition of their ‘Community Brew’ collaboration series in support of local organizations within the Peterborough community.

For the second beer in the series, they are happy to be supporting Otonabee Conservation and the Jackson Creek Trail, a 4.5 kilometre multi-use trail offering a variety of recreational opportunities within the City of Peterborough and Township of Selwyn.

The beer is a Kolsch style, also known as a lagered ale, and was brewed in collaboration with McThirsty’s bartender Dan Longfield. Pouring golden yellow, this Kolsch is clean and crisp with a mild bitterness, perfect for spring.

“We are honoured to be the recipient of donations from Bobcaygeon Brewery’s Community Brew. Funds will be directed to the beloved Jackson Creek Trail, which continues to provide so many residents with a place to rejuvenate, exercise, and enjoy nature in the heart of Peterborough.”

Janette Loveys Smith, CAO / Secretary-Treasurer | Otonabee Conservation

With each beer in the series, $1 from every pint and 50 cents from every can sold will be donated to a charitable organisation in Peterborough, supporting local and giving back to our community.

The Community Brew will be first available at Bobcaygeon Brewing Company’s Bobfest event on March 25 at 649 The Parkway, available to try both on tap and for purchase to go. Beginning March 27,  you can find the beer at McThirsty’s Pint at 166 Charlotte Street and the Bobcaygeon Brewing Company Taproom at 649 The Parkway.
