The Conservation Authorities Act, provides Conservation Authorities with the authority to collect fees for services approved by the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry. Section 21(m.1) of the Act allows for the collection of fees for services such as plan review, permitting, and public and legal inquires, as well as other fees.
Otonabee Conservation’s Fee Policy and Schedule for Planning and Permitting Services is based upon the following principles:
- User pay
- Adequate consultation and notification
- Right to appeal
The Board of Directors of Otonabee Conservation has approved changes to the Fee Policy and Schedule, with an effective date of January 1, 2023.
The Permit Fee Schedule (for applications made under Ontario Regulation 167/06 – Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses) and Plan Review Fee Schedule (for applications made under the Planning Act) are provided for your reference within the Fee Policy & Schedule as appendices.
