TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE TRANS CANADA TRAIL / JACKSON CREEK TRAIL
Various sections of the Trans Canada / Jackson Creek Trail (the Trail) will be temporarily closed due to construction for the sanitary sewer tie-in and watermain extension to Chandler Crescent for the Lily Lake West Subdivision. Trail closures and delays will be in the vicinity of the Jackson Creek Weir and the trail/bridge that leads from Jackson Creek Meadows subdivision.
Click on each phase to view a map of the affected areas. The approximate closure dates are provided below. Closures will be phased to minimize closure durations, as follows:
Phase 1 | May 24th to June 28th until further notice
The closure area is the Trail between the access to Parkhill Road at the blue bridge to just east of the Jackson Creek Weir Footbridge.
Phase 2 | June 28th to July 12th DELAYED
The Phase 2 closure will include the link to the Trail from Chandler Crescent.
During this phase the Trail will remain open to the public.
Phase 3 | July 12th to July 26th DELAYED
Phase 3 will include remediation work to the Phase 1 and Phase 2 construction areas.
A full closure is not anticipated but delays should be expected.
Construction notices will be provided indicating detour routes for each Phase during construction. Erosion and sediment control measures will be installed prior to the start of construction and monitored throughout the course of construction to minimize any negative affects to Jackson Creek and the surrounding area. Once the infrastructure work is completed the Trail and areas affected by construction will be restored to their original conditions. Our apologies for any inconveniences. Your cooperation is appreciated.
