Siemens Canada, Tree Canada, and Otonabee Conservation enhanced habitat at the Harold Town Conservation Area

Employees from Siemens Canada in Peterborough planted 60 native trees and shrubs at the Harold Town Conservation Area on May 25th in partnership with Tree Canada and Otonabee Conservation.
A variety of native species of trees and shrubs including, white spruce, Eastern white cedar, serviceberry, fragrant sumac and staghorn sumac will increase species diversity and enhance habitat for local wildlife in the area adjacent to the newly expanded parking lot on Old Norwood Road.
“Together, Siemens and Tree Canada have planted over 16,200 trees across Canada since 2012. Siemens is honoured to contribute to the health of the environment in the communities we live and work in. We value a more sustainable future and we’re grateful to work together to help make that happen.”
