WHY

The benefits of trees are widely known. Planting trees helps regulate temperatures and provides shelter to wildlife. Trees also filter the air we breathe, stabilize the ground preventing erosion, and reduce stormwater runoff and flooding. Trees also capture carbon dioxide mitigating climate change; the trees planted by Otonabee Conservation this fall will sequester 6.7 million kg of Carbon over their lifespan!
