Millbrook Dam Ribbon Cutting Event

Otonabee Conservation, along with delegates from Provincial and Municipal governments, community members, local interest groups, project engineers and contractors will celebrate the completion of the Millbrook Dam rehabilitation project.

We will receive greetings and remarks from MPP Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock, Laurie Scott, Township of Cavan-Monaghan Mayor, Scott McFadden, and Otonabee Conservation Board of Directors Chair, Andy Mitchell.

Join us for a celebratory ribbon-cutting event, light refreshments, and speeches along with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and educational signage interpreting the historical and natural significance of the area.

The rehabilitation of Millbrook Dam began in January 2018. It has included the replacement of the spillway and the reconstruction of the earthen berm surrounding the Dam. This project has taken many years to come to fruition and we would like to thank everyone who made a contribution towards the success of the project.

In particular, we are grateful for funding contributed by the Governments of Canada and Ontario through the Small Communities Fund, and for the generous contributions from our member municipalities.
