Most years, Otonabee Conservation hosts an Earth Day litter cleanup along the Jackson Creek Trail and at Harold Town Conservation Area. Again, this year, we want you to spread your love for the planet throughout your neighbourhood with your family, friends, and neighbours by cleaning up your yard, street, local park, or nearby natural area.
Our safety Checklist for Household Litter Cleanups provides recommended safety tips for picking up litter, including safe pick up and removal of sharps/needles.

Checklist for Household Litter Cleanups
Our local Conservation Areas, trails, and parks have been a safe haven for many residents who have accessed these spaces even more during the pandemic to get exercise, relieve stress, and enhance mental health. While we take care of ourselves by getting outdoors, we can also take care of the planet by helping to keep it free of litter and garbage.
On Earth Day (and EVERY day!), we encourage people accessing Conservation Areas, trails, and nearby natural areas to take their garbage and dog poop bags home for disposal.
