
Otonabee Conservation is pleased to offer the Discovery Days series of family-friendly explorations and activities featuring our natural environment. Be sure to have your Discovery Days Passport stamped by event staff!
On Saturday, July 14, 2018 the following activities are being offered at the Harold Town Conservation Area:
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Wild Edibles – Join Courtney Jeffery from Art of Awareness Therapy for a walk through the conservation area and learn to identify wild edibles and how to prepare them. (photo not specific to this program)
8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Day/Night Sky Viewing – Join the Peterborough Astronomical Association (PAA) for a viewing of both the sun and the stars at this unique event. Participants will have the opportunity to safely view the sun using equipment provided by the PAA members, and then after sunset enjoy the night sky away from the City lights. Suitable for all ages, all equipment provided.
