Discovery Days at Beavermead Campground

Enjoy a variety of events and activities at Beavermead Campground on Saturday, July 8th!
Here’s what’s happening ~ and, it’s all free for campers and visitors!

When you attend any event on this day, be sure to ask Otonabee Conservation staff to “stamp” your Discovery Days Passport.

10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Enjoy an outdoor Yoga session. All you need to bring with you is a mat or a towel. All ages welcome!

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sciensational Snakes! Join staff and get up close and personal with local species of snakes during this interactive program

Throughout the day you’re invited to visit the Water Safety exhibit, hosted by the Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron.

2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. there will be a guided paddling tour of Meade Creek and Little Lake. Bring your own watercraft, or book a rental in advance to that you can join in. The tour will include interesting facts about local wildlife species, natural history and the cultural history of the area.
