Discovery Days Explore Natural Environment

Otonabee Conservation is pleased to announce the 2018 Discovery Days series of family-friendly explorations and activities featuring the natural environment of the watershed region.

The Discovery Days series will be held at various conservation areas including the Harold Town Conservation Area, the historic Hope Mill, Beavermead Campground and the Warsaw Caves Conservation Area and Campground. Trail events, heritage activities, wildlife demonstrations, fishing workshops, paddling tours, and outdoor yoga are a few of the activities being offered this year.

The Discovery Days Passport is back again for 2018. Individuals are encouraged to have their Discovery Days Passport stamped at the events they attend and enter their passport into a draw for a chance to win a great prize. The prizes being offered include a 2019 Family Camping Package for the Warsaw Caves Conservation Area and Campground, a Pollinator Habitat package and an Outdoor Recreation package.

The Discovery Days series begins with the “Celebration of Trails” event at the Harold Town Conservation Area on Sunday, June 3rd and will wrap up on Sunday, August 26th with Family Day at the Hope Mill.

Discovery Days Passports are available at the conservation areas, Hope Mill, local municipal offices, and the Otonabee Conservation office.
